A few words from the Acting President of the Student Council
Assalamualaikum. I am currently holding the post of Acting-President of the Student Council. Before holding this post, I was the Chairman for the Religious activities. I have been in the Council for a few years now, and most of the responsibilities I have been given involve protocol matters.
Lately, my workload has increased substantially, as this position requires me to act not only as a leader but also to manage my sub-committee members. This has taught me to be more patient and sensitive to other peoples’ opinions as well as to be more organised.
I have been studying in MTSSR for a few years, starting from NTC grade 3 and 2 in Vehicle Body Repair. I have also completed my Pre-National Diploma in Fabrication and Welding, I believe, Insha Allah, I can achieve my objective, i.e. to complete my studies, as I long as I keep reminding myself that Patience is part of faith.
Alhamdulillah, at last my dream has come true, as right now I am doing my National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. My present goal is to improve in my studies and be successful in whatever I do.
Over the years, there were undoubtedly a lot of challenges which I had to face, not only in my studies but also as a member of the Student Council. However, some of those challenges brought sweet memories too! One such memorable incident was when I worked with a team of students to design and decorate a mock-up of The Great and Massive McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 car for the night procession or ‘Tanglung’ held in conjunction with His Majesty’s birthday celebration.
It took us 3 long and tough months to complete, but it was worth all the effort as it brought enjoyment and satisfaction to us upon its completion.
My advice to the current students of MTSSR is to accept whatever it is that is given to us. Whatever your dreams are, try to achieve them. Whatever your wishes are, try to work towards them. Put your words into action. Do not give up my dear friends and study smart. Be kind to everyone around you so that you will always be blessed by Allah the Almighty.
